I applied for University and got into the course I wanted to do, which is Bachelor of fine arts. I'll also be doing modules in Japanese. It will be fun!

Went to the campus on Tuesday for orientation. It seemed like a nice place to be, lots of different areas to hang out. A very confusing and spread out layout though. Lots of mosquitoes too for some reason!

The student Associations wall planner for the year has some pretty amusing and apt descriptions for some of the important dates.

Jan 26. Invasion Day. (Instead of Australia day, which is on the day Captain Cook claimed Australia for the British Empire.)

February 28a. Calendar balancing day.

Jun 6. Semester 1 concludes. Last day to withdraw without failure.

Jun 9. Redundant political figurehead day. (Instead of the Queens birthday holiday.)

Oct 31. Reclaim the night. (Clocks change.)
